OVERVIEW

Integrated Controls for Solar Farm Operation

Green Generation collaborated with Eastern Generator to upgrade the control system of a Cummins KTA50-G3 generator set, rated at 1,250 kVA prime power.

The project combined control system design, equipment selection, configuration and testing to bring the upgraded generator into operation. The works included conversion to a ComAp IG-500-G2 platform and integration of a GAC EEG6500 Enhanced Electronic Governor for engine speed control.

The brief

Upgrade the existing Cummins generator control system to a ComAp IG-500-G2 platform and integrate electronic engine speed control.

What We Did
